Haitian Music KLASS new album Ret Nan Liy Ou Album

Following the Haitian music artist klass last two albums Fel vini avan and Fel ak tout kew. Klass released yet another great album again. This latest Klass new album Ret Nan Liy Ou, “Stay in your lane” is already creaiting buzz in the Haitian Music Industry.

With only 8 tracks, this klass new album pass the class

1. Bouche Twou Vid
2. Blakawout
3. Ret Nan Liy Ou
4. Klike Sou Li
5. Kout Papa
6. Lanmou Pafè (Perfect)
7. Respekte Fanm
8. Joyeux Nwel

So many years after the last album, this one was overdue. I did not do so many rewinds and play on this one.  I can tell you this though, it is worth every seconds of the wait. I admit that I am a bit bias. After all, I consider Pipo as one of the best singers that we have. Well, do not take my words for it. Ask any other person that you think is impartial.

The Album starts with Bouche twou Vid

an up-tempo song with everything. I am not really good at deciphering these songs, but it seems like this one is about keeping your woman. The fellows know what I am talking about. If you cannot pay the bills, someone else will be happy to do it for you.

What is a Klass album without a few love songs? The 2nd track sets the stage for Pipo to shine. He really did a good job on this one. In fact, it may be on my repeat list. Blackawout (blackout)

lanmoun banm blakwout.

It goes something like this, mwen pap ba’n manti m’gen alkol nan tet mwen, mwen pa sou, mwen jous ap jere problem mwen. “I am not going to lie to you. I have alcohol in my system. I am not high, I am just dealing with my problems” Oh boy, another one.

This one is about what men have been complaining about. You are with someone. She is with someone else. The sad thing is, these things happen every single day all over the world. Pipo is saying that he is with some. He only sees her during week days. The reason, she is engaged to someone else. Ket, gadon problem. I gave her my all, love and emotions.

I am not going to go over all the songs on this blog post, but Klike Sou Li(Click on it)

is another love song that I adore. Did I tell you that I am a lover boy? I am not all about jump up jump up. Klike is very powerful song. I must warn you though. Don’t be listening to this one while you are driving.

You will want to dance to every beat of this one. You would not want to that on I95. Jounen’m poko menm komanse, tout tan’m pa konn ki janw leve, ki jan nwit ou pase, m’p vle absan lew souri. “My day does not start until I know how you woke up, how you spent the night.

I do not want to be absent when you simle……” Ayayay…. Moore will come. I do not want to continue. This song is getting through me.

We normally hear of kout pitit, meaning you are not the real father of your child. Gason gen mize yap pase. This song “Kout Papa”

is the same thing, but the irony of it is that the mother did the child wrong. After being raised by your father for over 10yeras and DNA proved that your father is not your father, ou pran kout papa.

Lanmou pafe (perfect love)

Our English readers will have no problem with this one. The first verse is in English. In fact, it is a Haitian interpretation of perfect by Englsih songwriter Edward Christopher Sheeran (Ed Sheeran) . It goes like this.

I found a love for me
Darling just dive right in
And follow my lead
Well I found a girl beautiful and sweet
I never knew you were the someone waiting for me
Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own
And in your eyes you're holding mine
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight

The last 2 songs are respekte fanm and Nwel.

It’s funny that Klass came out with this one. Just the other day I was in Pranplezi chat. As a man who always show respect to women, I was telling a buddy of mine that he should always respect women like me. The 7th song is about respect for women. Ou diw se gason, wap bat fanm. Ou diw se gason wap joure ak fanm.

Does the Klass new album deliver?

Harmonik is releasing this week if I am not mistaken. Nulook may come with its album next week. The new group of Reginald Cange and Dener Ceide ZAFEM is due in June. Check out Zafem Fan Club site often for info

We have not had such a good year in the industry for a very long time now. I believe it was around the years of 2004-2006.

I am not going to say this album is 10/10, but I am tempting to. It has everything, lyrics, vocals, ban deye a menm se sa net. Pozo se pa pale, anpil grouv. I’ll let you be the judge on that one.

Please support the industry and purchase this cd it is available at a store near you and at cd baby. please, please, go buy it. Klass did a good job on this one and they deserve that much.
