I have a couple of Haitian phrases to add:

·         pye poudre ≠ powdered feet

·         de (2) zòm pèdi ≠ two lost men

Mwen gen de (2) fraz ayisyen pou adisyone:

·         pye poudre ≠ powdered feet

·         de (2) zòm pèdi ≠ two lost men

“Pye Poudre” is a term used by certain Haitian people to those who seldom stay at home. In other words, they’re always out doing errands, visiting friends, etc.

“De (2) Zòm Pèdi” is a term a person quarreling with another would use as a warning to indicate physical altercation will follow. The Haitian Creole term is: “Oumenm avè m’ ap de (2) zòm pèdi.”

Tèm nan an kreyòl se: “Oumenm avè m’ ap de (2) zòm pèdi.”
